(a) Replace the DCM (Telematics Transceiver) See: Accessories and Optional Equipment/Emergency Contact Module/Service and
Repair/Removal.
NOTICE:
* The engine switch must be off.
* Do not swap the DCM (Telematics Transceiver) with one from another vehicle.
NEXT -- PERFORM DCM ACTIVATION See: Accessories and Optional Equipment/Emergency Contact Module/Testing and
Inspection/Scan Tool Testing and Procedures/DCM Activation
5. INSPECT MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY (MANUAL (SOS) SWITCH GREEN INDICATOR CONDITION)
(a) Confirm the green indicator status after the engine switch on (IG) See: Accessories and Optional Equipment/Emergency Contact
Module/Description and Operation/Safety Connect System.
Result:
B -- REPLACE DCM (TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER)
A -- Continue to next step.
6. INSPECT MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY (GREEN INDICATOR INPUT VOLTAGE)
(a) Remove the map light assembly but do not disconnect the connectors See: Accessories and Optional Equipment/Emergency Contact
Button/Service and Repair/Manual (SOS) Switch/Removal.
(b) Connect the positive lead of a voltmeter to terminal T10-6 (IND2), and the negative lead to terminal T10-7 (GND3).
(c) Measure the voltage.
Standard:
1.0 to 8.5 V for 2 seconds after the engine switch is on (IG) and red indicator has turned off.
0 V when the engine switch is off.
