DESCRIPTION
The No. 1 ultrasonic sensor (front left sensor) is installed on the front bumper. The ECU detects obstacles based on signals received from the No. 1
ultrasonic sensor (front left sensor). If the No. 1 ultrasonic sensor (front left sensor) has an open or other malfunction, it will not function normally.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
NOTICE:
If the DTC is output after repairs, turn the engine switch on (IG) and turn the intuitive parking assist system on. Then clear the
DTC See: Accessories and Optional Equipment/Collision Avoidance and Parking Assist Systems/Testing and Inspection/Reading
and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes/Intuitive Parking Assist System.

1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT
(a) Check for DTCs See: Accessories and Optional Equipment/Collision Avoidance and Parking Assist Systems/Testing and
Inspection/Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes/Intuitive Parking Assist System.
Result:

2. REPLACE NO. 1 ULTRASONIC SENSOR (FRONT LEFT SENSOR)
(a) Replace the No. 1 ultrasonic sensor (front left sensor) with a normally functioning sensor See: Accessories and Optional
Equipment/Collision Avoidance and Parking Assist Systems/Parking Assist Distance Sensor/Service and Repair/Ultrasonic Sensor (for
Front Side)/Removal.
HINT
All of the sensors are interchangeable. To confirm whether a sensor is functioning normally, switch it with a known good sensor
from the other end of the vehicle.
