1. PERFORM SETTINGS
(a) Perform the following to register the vehicle information into the parking assist ECU.
(1) Refer to Back Camera Position Setting See: Accessories and Optional Equipment/Collision Avoidance and Parking Assist
Systems/Testing and Inspection/Programming and Relearning/Parking Assist Monitor System/Calibration.
(2) Refer to Steering Angle Setting (Diagnosis system) See: Accessories and Optional Equipment/Collision Avoidance and Parking
Assist Systems/Testing and Inspection/Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview/Parking Assist Monitor System/Diagnosis
System.
(3) Refer to Side Camera Position Setting See: Accessories and Optional Equipment/Collision Avoidance and Parking Assist
Systems/Testing and Inspection/Programming and Relearning/Side Monitor System (w/ Parking Assist Monitor
System)/Calibration.

2. CHECK DTC OUTPUT
(a) Clear the DTCs See: Accessories and Optional Equipment/Collision Avoidance and Parking Assist Systems/Testing and
Inspection/Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes/Parking Assist Monitor System.
(b) Check for DTCs See: Accessories and Optional Equipment/Collision Avoidance and Parking Assist Systems/Testing and
Inspection/Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes/Parking Assist Monitor System.
Result:
HINT
- If DTC C168D is output, perform the procedure to allow the parking assist ECU to store the vehicle information again.
- If DTC C168D is still output after performing the procedure to make the parking assist ECU store the vehicle information 3
times, replace the parking assist ECU.

This DTC is stored if the parking assist ECU judges as a result of its self check that the vehicle information received from the ECM via CAN
communication and the vehicle information stored in the parking assist ECU do not match.

- When "System initializing" is displayed on the multi-display after the battery terminal disconnected, correct the steering angle
neutral point See: Accessories and Optional Equipment/Collision Avoidance and Parking Assist Systems/Testing and
Inspection/Programming and Relearning/Parking Assist Monitor System/Initialization.
