INSPECTION PROCEDURE
PROCEDURE
1. CHECK PASSENGER AIRBAG ON/OFF INDICATOR CONDITION
(a) Turn the engine switch on (IG).
(b) Check the passenger airbag ON/OFF indicator operation.
HINT
Refer to the normal condition of the passenger airbag ON/OFF indicator See: Restraints and Safety Systems/Air Bag
Systems/Testing and Inspection/Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview/Diagnosis System.
Result:
B -- CHECK CONNECTORS
A -- Continue to next step.
2. CHECK CONNECTORS
(a) Turn the engine switch off.
(b) Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
NOTICE:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
(c) Check that the connectors are properly connected to the center airbag sensor assembly and radio receiver assembly*1 or accessory
meter assembly*2. Also check that the connectors that link the instrument panel wire and No. 2 instrument panel wire are properly
connected.
