1. CHECK PRESENT DTC

(a) Turn the engine switch on (IG), and wait for at least 60 seconds.

(b) Check for present DTCs See: Restraints and Safety Systems/Air Bag Systems/Testing and Inspection/Reading and Clearing

Diagnostic Trouble Codes/DTC Check / Clear.

Result:

HINT

* DTCs indicating communication errors will be changed to DTCs indicating errors in initialization by turning the engine switch

off and then to on (IG) again.

* Codes other than DTC B1622, B1623, B1632, B1633, B1642, B1643, and 81 may be output at this time, but they are not related

to this check.

E -- USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK See: Accessories and Optional Equipment/Antitheft and Alarm

Systems/Diagrams/Diagnostic Aids/How To Troubleshoot ECU Controlled Systems/How To Proceed With Troubleshooting
