INSPECTION PROCEDURE
This DTC may be output by the SFI system at the same time. In that case, perform troubleshooting for the SFI system first.
PROCEDURE
1. READ OUTPUT DTC (DTC P0500)
(a) Clear the DTCs See: Cruise Control/Testing and Inspection/Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes/Cruise Control System.
(b) Perform the following to make sure that the DTC detection conditions are met.
HINT
If the detection conditions are not met, the malfunction cannot be detected.
(1) With the shift lever in D, drive the vehicle for more than 10 seconds when the engine coolant temperature is more than 20锟斤拷C (68锟斤拷
F).
(c) Check for DTCs See: Cruise Control/Testing and Inspection/Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes/Cruise Control System

P0500 - Vehicle Speed Sensor Malfunction
DESCRIPTION
The cruise control system uses the same vehicle speed signal that is sent to the ECM for the SFI system. If DTC P0500 is detected, perform the
diagnosis using the inspection procedure for DTC P0500 in the SFI system (for 2GR-FE) See: P0500. The speed signal is converted for use by the
