(b) Turn the engine switch on (IG).
(c) Turn the Techstream on.
(d) Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Trouble Codes.
(e) Read the DTCs.
Result:
HINT
If any DTCs other than P0505 are output, troubleshoot those DTCs first.
B -- GO TO DTC CHART See: Diagnostic Trouble Code Descriptions/SFI System
A -- Continue to next step.
2. CHECK PCV HOSE (HOSE CONNECTIONS)
(a) Check the PCV hose connections See: Powertrain Management/Emission Control Systems/Testing and Inspection.
OK:
PCV hose is connected correctly and is not damaged.
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE PCV HOSE
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK INTAKE SYSTEM
(a) Check the intake system for vacuum leaks See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Intake Manifold/Testing and Inspection.
OK:
No leaks in intake system.
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE INTAKE SYSTEM
OK -- Continue to next step.
4. CHECK THROTTLE WITH MOTOR BODY ASSEMBLY (VISUALLY CHECK THROTTLE VALVE)
(a) Check for contamination between the throttle valve and the housing. And check that the throttle valve moves smoothly.
OK:
Throttle valve is not contaminated with foreign objects and moves smoothly.
NG -- REPLACE THROTTLE WITH MOTOR BODY ASSEMBLY See: Powertrain Management/Fuel Delivery and Air
Induction/Throttle Body/Service and Repair/Removal
OK -- REPLACE ECM See: Powertrain Management/Computers and Control Systems/Engine Control Module/Service and
Repair/Removal

2GR-FE ENGINE CONTROL: SFI SYSTEM: P0560: System Voltage
P0560 - System Voltage
DESCRIPTION
The battery supplies electricity to the ECM even when the engine switch is off. This power allows the ECM to store data such as DTC history, freeze
frame data and fuel trim values. If the battery voltage falls below a minimum level, the stored ECM data is cleared and the ECM determines that
there is a malfunction in the power supply circuit. When the engine is next started, the ECM will illuminate the MIL and set the DTC.
