The Techstream displays ON or OFF according to brake pedal operation.
NG -- INSPECT SKID CONTROL ECU (STP1 TERMINAL)
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK BRAKE PEDAL AND STOP LIGHT SWITCH INSTALLATION
(a) Turn the engine switch off.
(b) Check the brake pedal height and stop light switch installation See: Brakes and Traction Control/Brake Pedal Assy/Service and
Repair/Removal and Replacement/Installation.
OK:
The brake pedal height and stop light switch installation are normal.
NG -- ADJUST BRAKE PEDAL OR STOP LIGHT SWITCH See: Brakes and Traction Control/Brake Pedal Assy/Adjustments
OK -- Continue to next step.
4. RECONFIRM DTC
(a) Clear the DTCs See: Brakes and Traction Control/Antilock Brakes / Traction Control Systems/Testing and Inspection/Reading and
Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
(b) Start the engine.
(c) Drive the vehicle at a speed of 40 km/h (25 mph) or more and perform braking test (decelerate the vehicle by depressing the brake
pedal).
(d) Check if the same DTC is recorded See: Brakes and Traction Control/Antilock Brakes / Traction Control Systems/Testing and
Inspection/Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
Result:

5. INSPECT SKID CONTROL ECU (STP1 TERMINAL)
(a) Turn the engine switch off.
(b) Make sure that there is no looseness at the locking part and the connecting part of the connectors.
(c) Disconnect the skid control ECU connector.
(d) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
