HINT



- If the front speed sensor rotor needs to be replaced, replace it together with the front drive outboard joint shaft assembly.



- If the rear speed sensor rotor needs to be replaced, replace it together with the rear axle hub and bearing assembly.

Check the speed sensor signal after replacement See: Brakes and Traction Control/Antilock Brakes / Traction Control

11. RECONFIRM DTC



(a) Install the drive shaft assembly (for front).



(b) Clear the DTCs See: Brakes and Traction Control/Antilock Brakes / Traction Control Systems/Testing and Inspection/Reading and



Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.



(c) Start the engine.



(d) Drive the vehicle at a speed of 40 km/h (25 mph) or more for at least 60 seconds.



(e) Check if the same DTC is recorded See: Brakes and Traction Control/Antilock Brakes / Traction Control Systems/Testing and



Inspection/Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

12. REPLACE REAR SPEED SENSOR AND REAR SPEED SENSOR ROTOR



(a) Turn the engine switch off.



(b) Replace the rear speed sensor and the rear axle hub and bearing assembly (rear speed sensor rotor) See: Brakes and Traction



Control/Antilock Brakes / Traction Control Systems/Wheel Speed Sensor/Service and Repair/Rear Speed Sensor/Removal.



HINT



The rear speed sensor rotor is incorporated into the rear axle hub and bearing assembly.



If the rear speed sensor rotor needs to be replaced, replace it together with the rear axle hub and bearing assembly with rear



speed sensor.



NOTICE:
