1. CHECK CONNECTOR CONNECTION CONDITION
(a) Check the installation condition of the power steering motor connector.
OK:
Power steering motor connector is securely connected to the power steering ECU.
NG -- CONNECT CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (MOTOR VOLTAGE)
(a) Turn the engine switch off.
(b) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(c) Turn the engine switch on (IG).
(d) Turn the Techstream on.
(e) Enter the following menus: Chassis / EMPS / Data List.
(f) Select the items "Motor Terminal Volt(U)", "Motor Terminal Volt(V)" and "Motor Terminal Volt(W)" in the Data List and read the
value displayed on the Techstream.

DESCRIPTION
The power steering ECU stores this DTC when it determines that the assist map is not written in the ECU.
HINT
The assist map is data written in the power steering ECU to control the degree of assistance. The assist map is selected based on
the vehicle's specified communication data.
