(e) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / AFS / Active Test.

(f) Check that the leveling motors operate.

AFS

OK:

Headlight leveling motors operate normally.

NG -- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BATTERY - AFS ECU)

OK -- Continue to next step.

3. REPLACE HEADLIGHT LEVELING MOTOR

(a) Temporarily replace the headlight leveling motor with a new or normally functioning one See: Lighting and Horns/Headlamp/Service

and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Components.

(b) Check for DTCs See: Lighting and Horns/Testing and Inspection/Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

OK:

DTC B2417 or B2418 is not output.

NG -- REPLACE AFS ECU (HEADLIGHT SWIVEL ECU ASSEMBLY) See: Lighting and Horns/Headlamp/Headlamp

Alignment Control Module/Service and Repair/Components

OK -- END

4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BATTERY - AFS ECU)

(a) Disconnect the A53 AFS ECU (headlight swivel ECU assembly) connector.

(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
