3. RECONFIRM DTC
(a) Turn the engine switch off.

(c) Start the engine.
(d) Drive the vehicle and turn the steering wheel to the right and left at the speed of 35 km/h (22 mph) or more.

HINT
- If the same DTC C1439 and/or C1445 is not output again, the DTC may have been stored due to a temporary loss of the
steering angle zero point calibration, such as when the power source voltage drops.
- If troubleshooting has been carried out according to Problem Symptoms Table, refer back to the table and proceed to the next
step See: Brakes and Traction Control/Antilock Brakes / Traction Control Systems/Testing and Inspection/Symptom Related

BRAKE CONTROL / DYNAMIC CONTROL SYSTEMS: VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM: C1440: Unusual Bank Angle
Detected
C1440 - Unusual Bank Angle Detected
DESCRIPTION
If the skid control ECU determines that the vehicle is being driven at a steep bank angle, the skid control ECU stores DTC C1440 while VSC
operation is temporarily disabled.
It is not a malfunction if the system and sensor circuits are normal and if the normal VSC operation resumes, which automatically clears DTC
C1440, after the vehicle is returned to a normal position.
