Load Sensing Switch OFF Stuck Malfunction

DESCRIPTION

The brake pedal load sensing switch is turned on when the brake pedal is depressed with force exceeding a predetermined level.

The skid control ECU detects if the brake pedal is depressed or not via this circuit.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:

When replacing the brake actuator assembly, perform zero point calibration and store system information See: Brakes and

Traction Control/Antilock Brakes / Traction Control Systems/Testing and Inspection/Programming and Relearning.

HINT

When DTC C1425 and/or C1426 is output together with DTC C1430 and/or C1431, inspect and repair the trouble areas indicated

by DTC C1425 and/or C1426 first See: C1425, or See: C1426).

PROCEDURE

1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (STOP LIGHT SWITCH AND BRAKE PEDAL LOAD SENSING SWITCH)

(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the engine switch on (IG).

(c) Select the Data List on the Techstream See: Brakes and Traction Control/Antilock Brakes / Traction Control Systems/Testing and

Inspection/Scan Tool Testing and Procedures/Data List / Active Test.
