(a) Turn the engine switch off.
(b) Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
(c) Replace the front seat inner belt assembly RH See: Restraints and Safety Systems/Seat Belt Systems/Seat Belt/Service and
Repair/Removal and Replacement/Front Seat Inner Belt Assembly/Removal.
HINT
Perform the inspection using parts from a normal vehicle if possible.
(d) Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.
(e) Turn the engine switch on (IG).
(f) Clear the DTCs stored in the occupant classification ECU See: Restraints and Safety Systems/Testing and Inspection/Reading and
Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
(g) Clear the DTCs stored in the center airbag sensor assembly See: Restraints and Safety Systems/Air Bag Systems/Testing and
Inspection/Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes/DTC Check / Clear.
(h) Turn the engine switch off.
(i) Turn the engine switch on (IG).
(j) Check for DTCs See: Restraints and Safety Systems/Testing and Inspection/Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
OK:
DTC B1771 is not output.
HINT
Codes other than DTC B1771 may be output at this time, but they are not related to this check.

(a) Turn the engine switch off.
(b) Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

Repair/Occupant Classification ECU/Removal.
