B2085 - Communication Error from Driving Support ECU to VSC ECU
DESCRIPTION
This DTC is stored when CAN communication between the driving support ECU and skid control ECU (brake actuator) is interrupted.
This circuit consists of the driving support ECU, skid control ECU (brake actuator) and seat belt control ECU. DTC B2085 is stored when the seat
belt control ECU detects an interruption in CAN communication between the driving support ECU and skid control ECU (brake actuator).
INSPECTION PROCEDURE
HINT
This circuit uses CAN communication. Therefore, be sure to check that the CAN communication system is normal before
performing inspection See: Powertrain Management/Computers and Control Systems/Information Bus/Testing and
Inspection/Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview/CAN Communication System/How to Proceed With Troubleshooting.
PROCEDURE
1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM)
(a) Clear the DTCs See: Accessories and Optional Equipment/Collision Avoidance and Parking Assist Systems/Testing and
Inspection/Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes/Pre-Collision System.
(b) Check for DTCs.
OK:
CAN communication system DTC is output.
NG -- GO TO CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM See: Powertrain Management/Computers and Control Systems/Information
Bus/Testing and Inspection/Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview/CAN Communication System/How to Proceed With
Troubleshooting
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (PRE-COLLISION SYSTEM)
(a) Using the Techstream, enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Pre-Collision / Trouble Codes.
(b) Clear the DTCs See: Accessories and Optional Equipment/Collision Avoidance and Parking Assist Systems/Testing and
Inspection/Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes/Pre-Collision System.
