B2418 - Headlight Beam Level Control Motor RH Malfunction

DESCRIPTION

The headlight leveling motor receives a signal from the AFS ECU (headlight swivel ECU assembly) to operate. The AFS ECU (headlight swivel

ECU assembly) receives a signal indicating the operating conditions of the headlight leveling motor.

NOTICE:

Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK FOR DTC

(a) Clear the DTCs See: Lighting and Horns/Testing and Inspection/Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

(b) Check for DTCs See: Lighting and Horns/Testing and Inspection/Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

OK:

DTC B2417 or B2418 is not output.

NG -- PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM

OK -- USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK See: Accessories and Optional Equipment/Antitheft and Alarm

Systems/Diagrams/Diagnostic Aids/How To Troubleshoot ECU Controlled Systems/How To Proceed With Troubleshooting

2. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM

(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the engine switch on (IG).
