OK -- Continue to next step.
3. INSPECT OIL CONTROL VALVE FILTER AND OIL PIPE
(a) Remove the No. 1 oil pipe or No. 2 oil pipe.
(b) Remove the oil control valve filter RH or oil control valve filter LH.
(c) Check that the oil control valve filter and oil pipe are not clogged.
OK:
The oil control valve filter and oil pipe are not clogged.
(d) Reinstall the oil control valve filter RH or oil control valve filter LH.
(e) Reinstall the No. 1 oil pipe or No. 2 oil pipe.
NG -- REPLACE OIL CONTROL VALVE FILTER OR OIL PIPE See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Service and
Repair/Overhaul/Disassembly
OK -- Continue to next step.
4. REPLACE CAMSHAFT TIMING GEAR ASSEMBLY
(a) Replace the camshaft timing gear assembly (bank 1 or bank 2) See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Camshaft, Lifters and Push
Rods/Camshaft/Service and Repair/Removal.

1. CHECK WHETHER DTC OUTPUT RECURS
(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the engine switch on (IG).
(c) Turn the Techstream on.
(d) Clear the DTCs See: Powertrain Management/Computers and Control Systems/Testing and Inspection/Reading and Clearing
Diagnostic Trouble Codes/DTC Check / Clear.
