This DTC is stored when there is an open, short or ECU communication malfunction between the power management control ECU and certification
ECU (smart key ECU assembly).

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
NOTICE:
* If the certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly) is replaced, register the key.
* When using the Techstream to troubleshoot with the engine switch off:
* Connect the Techstream to the DLC3, and turn the courtesy switch on and off at 1.5-second intervals until communication
between the Techstream and vehicle begins.
PROCEDURE
1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT
(a) Clear the DTC See: Powertrain Management/Computers and Control Systems/Information Bus/Testing and Inspection/Reading and
Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
(b) Recheck for DTCs.

Check the both smart access and main body DTCs.
Result:

When DTC B2287 and B2785 are output simultaneously, perform troubleshooting for DTC B2785 first.

2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (CERTIFICATION ECU - POWER MANAGEMENT CONTROL ECU)
(a) Disconnect the F8 and F58 connectors.
