(a) Turn the engine switch on (IG).
(b) Clear the DTCs stored in the occupant classification ECU See: Restraints and Safety Systems/Testing and Inspection/Reading and
Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
(c) Clear the DTCs stored in the center airbag sensor assembly See: Restraints and Safety Systems/Air Bag Systems/Testing and
Inspection/Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes/DTC Check / Clear.
(d) Turn the engine switch off.
(e) Turn the engine switch on (IG).
(f) Using the Techstream, check for DTCs of the occupant classification ECU See: Restraints and Safety Systems/Testing and
Inspection/Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
OK:
DTC B1790 is not output.
HINT
Codes other than DTC B1790 may be output at this time, but they are not related to this check.
NG -- REPLACE CENTER AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY See: Relays and Modules/Relays and Modules - Restraints and
Safety Systems/Air Bag Control Module/Service and Repair/Removal

1. CHECK FLOOR WIRE (SHORT TO B+)
(a) Turn the engine switch off.
(b) Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
(c) Disconnect the front seat wire RH connector from the floor wire.
(d) Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.
(e) Turn the engine switch on (IG).
(f) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
