DESCRIPTION

The AFS ECU (headlight swivel ECU assembly) receives signals indicating the swerve-angle from the steering angle sensor (spiral cable

sub-assembly) using CAN communication.

communication malfunctions before troubleshooting this symptom.

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK FOR DTC

(a) Clear the DTCs See: Lighting and Horns/Testing and Inspection/Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

(b) Check for DTCs See: Lighting and Horns/Testing and Inspection/Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

OK:

DTC B2414 is not output.

NG -- REPLACE STEERING ANGLE SENSOR (SPIRAL CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY)

OK -- USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK See: Accessories and Optional Equipment/Antitheft and Alarm

2. REPLACE STEERING ANGLE SENSOR (SPIRAL CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY)
