19. CHECK PAST DTC



(a) Turn the engine switch on (IG), and wait for at least 60 seconds.



(b) Check for past DTCs See: Restraints and Safety Systems/Air Bag Systems/Testing and Inspection/Reading and Clearing Diagnostic



Trouble Codes/DTC Check / Clear.



Result:

Codes other than past DTC B1627 and B1637 may be output at this time, but they are not related to this check.



C -- CHECK REAR AIRBAG SENSOR LH



B -- CHECK SIDE AIRBAG SENSOR LH (FOR REAR SIDE)



A -- Continue to next step.



20. CHECK PRESENT DTC



(a) Turn the engine switch on (IG), and wait for at least 60 seconds.



(b) Check for present DTCs See: Restraints and Safety Systems/Air Bag Systems/Testing and Inspection/Reading and Clearing



Diagnostic Trouble Codes/DTC Check / Clear.



Result:



HINT



Codes other than present DTC B1628 and B1638 may be output at this time, but they are not related to this check.



B -- CHECK CONNECTORS



A -- Continue to next step.



21. CHECK CONNECTORS



(a) Turn the engine switch off.



(b) Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.



NOTICE:



Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.



(c) Check that the connectors are properly connected to the center airbag sensor assembly, side airbag sensor LH (for rear side) and rear



airbag sensor LH.



OK:



The connectors are properly connected.



HINT



If the connectors are not connected securely, reconnect the connectors and proceed to the next inspection.
