2. CHECK FREQUENCY RECEIVING CONDITION



(a) Check that the vehicle is located in an area such as described below:



(1) Facilities or devices that use similar radio frequencies are located in the vicinity of the vehicle.



HINT



If the vehicle is located in an area described above, the tire pressure warning light may turn on only in a particular area due to



interfering radio frequencies.



(2) Devices using similar radio frequencies are used in the vehicle.



OK:



Facilities, or devices that use similar radio frequencies are not located in the vicinity of the vehicle.



HINT



Radio transmissions may be interrupted due to the surroundings, or devices installed by the user.

3. IDENTIFY TRANSMITTER CORRESPONDING TO DTC



(a) Set the tire pressure to the appropriate specified values See: Maintenance/Wheels and Tires/Testing and Inspection/Component Tests



and General Diagnostics.



(b) Turn the engine switch off.



(c) Connect Techstream to the DLC3.



(d) Turn the engine switch on (IG) and turn the tester on.



(e) Enter the following menus: Chassis / Tire Pressure Monitor / Data List.



(f) Check the values by referring to the table below.

(b) Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.



NOTICE:



Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.



(c) Check that the connectors are properly connected to the rear seat outer belt assembly RH and center airbag sensor assembly.



OK:



The connectors are properly connected.



HINT



If the connectors are not connected securely, reconnect the connectors and proceed to the next inspection.



(d) Disconnect the connectors from the rear seat outer belt assembly RH and center airbag sensor assembly.



(e) Check that the terminals of the connectors are not damaged.



OK:



The terminals are not deformed or damaged.



(f) Check that the floor wire connector (on the rear seat outer belt assembly RH side) is not damaged.



OK:



The lock button is not disengaged, and the claw of the lock is not deformed or damaged.



(g) Check that the short spring for the floor wire with the activation prevention mechanism is not deformed or damaged.



OK:



The short spring is not deformed or damaged.

2. CHECK REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH (REAR PRETENSIONER SQUIB RH)



(a) Connect the connector to the center airbag sensor assembly.



(b) Connect SST (resistance 2.1 Ohms) to connector C.

(b) Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.



NOTICE:



Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.



(c) Check that the connectors are properly connected to the side airbag sensor LH (for rear side), rear airbag sensor LH and side airbag



sensor LH (for front side). Also check that the connectors that link the No. 2 floor wire and front door wire LH are properly connected.



OK:



The connectors are properly connected.



HINT



If the connectors are not connected securely, reconnect the connectors and proceed to the next inspection.



(d) Disconnect the connectors from the side airbag sensor LH (for rear side), rear airbag sensor LH and side airbag sensor LH (for front



side). Also disconnect the connectors that link the No. 2 floor wire and front door wire LH.



(e) Check that the terminals of connectors are not damaged.



OK:



The terminals are not deformed or damaged.



NG -- REPLACE WIRE HARNESS



OK -- Continue to next step.



33. CHECK NO. 2 FLOOR WIRE (OPEN)



(a) Using SST, connect terminals 4 (BCL+) and 3 (BCL-) of connector C.



NOTICE:



Do not forcibly insert SST into the terminals of the connector when connecting.

(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes/DTC Check / Clear.



(g) Turn the engine switch off.

B1625/22 - Side Airbag Sensor LH Circuit Malfunction



DESCRIPTION



The side collision sensor LH circuit (to determine deployment of the front seat side airbag assembly LH, rear seat side airbag assembly LH and



curtain shield airbag assembly LH) is composed of the center airbag sensor assembly, side airbag sensor LH (for rear side), rear airbag sensor LH



and side airbag sensor LH (for front side).



The side airbag sensor LH (for rear side) detect impacts to the vehicle and send signals to the center airbag sensor assembly to determine if the



airbag should be deployed.

The front airbag sensor RH circuit consists of the center airbag sensor assembly and front airbag sensor RH.



The front airbag sensor RH detects impacts to the vehicle and sends signals to the center airbag sensor assembly to determine if the airbag should be



deployed.



DTC B1610/13 is recorded when a malfunction is detected in the front airbag sensor RH.
