B1572 - Telephone Microphone Error

DESCRIPTION

This DTC is set when the DCM (Telematics Transceiver) detects a malfunction in the telephone microphone assembly circuit.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK DTC

(a) Turn the engine switch off.

(b) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(c) Turn the engine switch on (IG) and wait for 10 seconds.

(d) Turn the Techstream on.

(e) Perform "HEALTH CHECK" and check for current DTCs See: Accessories and Optional Equipment/Emergency Contact

Module/Testing and Inspection/Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview/Safety Connect System/Health Check.

2. INSPECT MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY (TELEPHONE MICROPHONE POWER SOURCE)

(a) Remove the map light assembly but do not disconnect the connectors See: Accessories and Optional Equipment/Emergency Contact

Button/Service and Repair/Manual (SOS) Switch/Removal.

(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
